About Us

Szymon Boruta

I am a cheerful, hardworking, self-reliant person, with experience in organizing and designing extraordinary events. As a producer and practical manager, I have been involved in many international live action roleplay events, some being life-changing for their participants, which I consider very rewarding. During all these years, I have had the opportunity to coordinate and create both pioneering and innovative events. On a daily basis, I solve unusual problems and constantly look for creative solutions and ways to provide an immersive experience. It is an amazing adventure, which is interesting challenge. I love my job (and Lord of the Rings trilogy).

Marta Szyndler

I am an experienced writer and designer, who helped to create in-game texts, character sheets and design documents for all-time favourite larps, like College of Wizardry or Convention of Thorns. I’m a castle larps veteran, both as a player, helper, and organizer. Dedicated to making players and volunteers happy, I love creating the best experiences for everybody. Usually, running the events from the shadows, working behind the scenes, I’m one of those invisible people who makes your experience unforgettable.

Education and academic degree

  • 2011 - 2013: University of Silesia, Master Degree in Culture, Film and Media Studies, with specialization in Film

Professional experience

  • 2019 - Present, Turbolarp - Game designer
In Turbo Marta I’m using my experience to create, write and design. I’m working with both text and pictures to bring our ideas to life. I also perform many different tasks at the location - from old fashion printing to customer service, organisation and volunteer coordination.
International projects: EU4 LAN Party 2019 (in cooperation with Paradox Interactive), LANs session during the PDXCON convention in Berlin.
  • 2016 - 2018, Dziobak Larp Studios. Writer/NPC Coordinator
My responsibilities were as versatile as the Dziobak Larp Studios products; during my stay I worked mainly as a creative writer (writing character sheets, design documents, descriptions, newsletter materials, in-game text), designer (together with Agata Świstak I designed Hecatic Academy of Witchcraft, the feminist spin-off of Dziobak Larp Studios flag product - College of Wizardry) and for the last few months an NPC coordinator (which can be best described as volunteer a coordinator with a game mastering elements). I also performed day-to-day tasks - such as managing the ticketing and payment system, processing data, communicating with the players, managing casting and during events - leading briefings, debriefings, workshops and trainings.
I worked during international projects: College of Wizardry (13 editions), Convention of Thorns (2 editions), College of Wizardry: The Challenge (1 edition) and College of Wizardry: Winter Banquet (1 edition). I also wrote characters and design for the following larps: Skull&Crossbones, College of Wizardry, College of Wizardry: Winter Banquet, Changeling: Waking Dreams. The Burning Revel, Convention of Thorns.
  • 2014, Internship in Centre for Film Arts - Kosmos Cinema
As a continuation of my education, I took part in an internship project that added practical skills to the theoretical ones; I later worked for 6 months in the Centre for Contemporary Art - Kosmos Cinema in Katowice. My stay there might have been short but I’ve learnt a lot. I worked in front of the computer, but also in front of real audiences: I prepared promotional materials, wrote many film-related texts, organized and led previews, festivals and workshops for children; I even learnt how to proficiently promote cultural events to make them appealing for various recipients. After finishing the internship I briefly continued my cooperation with the cinema during the International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN, where I worked as a journalist for the festival’s newspaper. This is when I discovered my true passion - writing.
